1967 – The start
Zenzi and Eduard Brunner, our parents and grandparents, realized the dream of their lives in opening a little guesthouse in the sunny village Perca. They called it “Sonnblick” - sun view. It was built with three guestrooms, every one of them with bathrooms en suite. Furthermore it also disposed of a little restaurant, a café and a sun terrace. The big opening ceremony took place the 1st of October 1967. The team consisted of the family and two staff members. One year later their son Andreas was born, then their daughter Siegrid and the second son Christian.
1977- The first renovation
The little guesthouse was converted into a two star pension. 13 rooms, a dining room, as well as a TV room and a lounge were built. The team consisted now of the family and 5 employees.
1985 - 2003
These years were influenced by some small renovations. Zenzi and Edi modernized many rooms and arranged two rooms for the employees.
Their first son Andreas planned and extended the pension 1989 with a small sauna area, with a finnish sauna, a hot whirl pool, a solarium and a small relaxing room. From now on the guests could set their soul free in the wellness area after a day of skiing and hiking.
Andreas married his wife Christine and they had three kids: Simon, Johannes and Mirjam.
The couple took over the family business in 2003.
2005
As the family grew, they needed more and more space. They extended the private apartment and the sauna area, and added some suites and rooms. The “Sonnblick” became now a three star hotel.
2011
The skiing area Plan de Corones realized the project called „Ried“, which would connect Perca to the Plan de Corones by a cableway. Our guests could now reach the valley station “Plan de Corones- Ried” in a two minutes walk.
2013 – A big step - a moving year
Christine and Andreas decided to restructure and renew the whole hotel and after years of planning and preparations the renovation works were split up into 3 building phases in different years.
In spring 2013 the first and biggest step was done: The different hotel areas were renovated in a loving way. The reception, the bar area, the lounge with a chimney, three different tyrolean parlours as well as a part of the rooms were redesigned with much attention to details in a record time of three months.
Even the wellness area was renovated, which now disposes of four different saunas, a swiss pine relaxing room with waterbeds, a massage room, adventure showers, a hot-whirl-pool and an outdoor area.
2015
It soon became evident that the laundry room, the storage room and the ski depot were too small for the large number of guests. After their extension, four additional new rooms and a family suite, as well as the furnishing of the new dining room and a
new garden area, the Brunners realized the second building phase of their hotel.
After the renovation the “Sonnblick” got the classification of a 3 star superior hotel.
2018 - A new design
The exterior architecture has been redefined with numerous elements in wood, black plate and glass. Thanks to the renovations involving 18 rooms and suites in alpine chalet style and a luxury penthouse-suite, we adapted all rooms at the most current needs and desires.
A new Skylounge with roof garden, panorama sauna, swiss stone pine infrared cabins, outdoor XXL whirlpool and a relaxation room with panorama view complete our spa offer.
Now we have the opportunity to spoil our guests on a 4-star level.
Over the last few years countless guests from near and far spent their well deserved holidays in our hotel. Many of them keep coming back to us and they became dear friends of our family over this time. That’s the most beautiful proof that our effort falls on fertile ground.
The family Andreas and Christine Brunner with Simon, Johannes, Mirjam and 22 employees are looking forward to you!
